Marcel and Jackie Trudel are
very proud of their French-Canadian ancestry, but even more proud of being Canadian. This fun-loving and dynamic couple
has lived in Albertville Saskatchewan since 1974 but their roots
are in eastern Canada. The Trudels say they have chosen to live
in the small rural community northeast of Prince Albert because
it was settled by french homesteaders , close proximity to a
large center and its fresh open spaces, with a pristine environment
to raise a family.
The Trudel family, including son Ken and daughter Kim, have
enjoyed the motorcycle lifestyle since the early 1970s. So passionate
is their commitment to the two-wheeled tradition that they have
even erected a special garage dedicated to the Harley Davidson
name. The “Harley Shack,” as it is affectionately
known,(built primarily with recycled materials, with a heavy
dose of family and regional significances) houses the Trudel
collection of collectible Hogs including a 95th Ann Ultra Classic,
95th Ann Dynawide Glide,2006 Dyna Wideglide, (a classic) 1982
Honda Aspencade, as well as numerous others in working and not
so working condition.
With many of his family members involved in autobody and other
mechanical pursuits it seemed almost natural that Marcel Trudel
would choose to build a motorcycle himself. After sharing his
vision with his wife of 33 years, Marcel went to work on the
design for a unique chopper. His goal was to incorporate as
much Canadian iconography (stretching from the west coast to
the east coast) as possible to deliver a new symbol of national
pride – The Canada Bike.
